DESCRIPTION:The Hudson Conservation Commission (a SuAsCo CISMA host organiz
 ation) is hosting an invasive plant removal volunteer event on Saturday\, 
 August 3\, 9:30am-11:30am in Danforth Falls Conservation Land in Hudson\, 
 MA.\n\nWe will meet at the Danforth Falls Trailhead on Lincoln St at 9:30a
 m.\n\nIf you plan on attending\, please register for the event by using th
 e "Book Now" button. Registering helps with planning and enables us to con
 tact you in the event of a change of plans or cancellation\, but if you're
  not able to register you're still welcome to attend.\n\nWe will be focusi
 ng on removing Japanese barberry and burning bush. If we continue to get d
 ry weather\, we plan to focus on the area along the creek\, which is less 
 heavily infested than the areas where we've been working up until this poi
 nt in the summer\, but would be good to clear of invasives while the groun
 d in the area is less wet and less sensitive to compaction.\n\nSince we wi
 ll be removing thorny Japanese barberry\, please bring thick gloves (we wi
 ll have some extra pairs for those who need them).\n\nMany of the plants w
 e are removing are large and well-established\, and a shovel can help get 
 them up\, and clippers can help clear branches enough to get at the roots.
  We have several shovels and pairs of clippers for volunteers to use\, but
  if any volunteers are able to bring their own that’s appreciated too\, 
 since it helps us to have more equipment to go around.\n\nCome prepared fo
 r active work in the woods. We encourage:\n\n 	Water\n 	Closed toed shoes\
 n 	Long sleeves/pants\n 	Eye protection (for the thorns)\n 	Bug spray\n\nC
