SUMMARY:Community Water Chestnut Pull - Framingham
DESCRIPTION:Help Remove Invasive Water Chestnut!\nJoin us in protecting our
waterways by removing invasive water chestnut!\nWHEN: Saturday\, June 14
\, 9:00 AM to noon\nWHERE: Simpson Park—Framingham\, MA (exact location
details below)\nWater chestnut is a highly invasive aquatic species that
can quickly overtake water bodies\, threatening ecosystems and limiting re
creational access. If left unchecked\, it can severely impact water qualit
y and habitat diversity.\nThe good news? Water chestnut is easy to identif
y\, and smaller infestations can be effectively managed by trained volunte
ers through hand-pulling. The key to prevention is removing plants before
they can set seeds and spread to new areas.\nJoin us for a day of paddling
and conservation—your efforts will make a real difference!\n\nChoose Yo
ur Launch Location\nDue to limited parking\, this event offers two check-
in and launch locations. Both launch into the same area of the river at Si
mpson Park in Framingham and contribute equally to the water chestnut remo
val efforts.\nWhen registering\, you will be prompted to select your prefe
rred launch site\n\n\n Simpson Drive Lauch—Small park next to 108 Simp
son Drive\, Framingham\n Central Street Launch—Open space at 133 Centr
al Street\, Framingham\n\nYou will check in\, receive supplies\, and laun
ch your canoe from your selected location. Both sites are just minutes ap
art and feed into the same paddling zone. Please choose one site when reg
istering to help us plan for parking\, gear distribution\, and coordinati
 on.\nImportant Information:\n\n\n Registration: First-come\, first-serve
