We will meet on Arena Terrace and carpool to the work site. Parking is accessed from the eastbound lanes of Route 2. About one third mile past the Sudbury Road intersection, exit onto Fairhaven Road and take your first left onto Arena Terrace. Park along the side of the road.
We will focus on removing buckthorn from around the Fairhaven Overlook area where we’ve already made significant progress. We will manually pull plants or use a weed wrench for more established specimens. The woody material will be stacked in brush piles and root systems will be managed to prevent re-establishment.
This location is wooded and will be mostly shaded. Poison ivy can be avoided.

The Land Trust will have tools available to share. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tools as well. Most commonly used tools include loppers, spade shovel, root slayer, mini pick mattock, and hand-held weed pulling tools.
