We will focus on removing buckthorn from along the trail where we’ve been controlling resprouts. We will manually pull plants or use a weed wrench for more established specimens. Root systems will be managed to prevent re-establishment, and the woody material will be stacked in brush piles.
This location is wooded and will be mostly shaded. Poison ivy can be avoided.

The Land Trust will have tools available to share. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tools as well. Most commonly used tools include loppers, spade shovel, root slayer, mini pick mattock, and hand-held weed pulling tools.
